MARTIN JOHN WALDRON
Martin
was educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham and later studied at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) in Chinese.
He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1976 and worked with a city law firm specialising in insurance related litigation with an emphasis on professional indemnity claims.
Martin was admitted in Hong Kong in 1981 and in Victoria, Australia in 1985. He worked for an international law firm advising on a wide variety of corporate and commercial disputes before joining Hampton, Winter and Glynn in 1992. He has been the head of the firm¡¯s Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group since 1995.
For some years, Martin acted as an External Examiner for the Post Graduate Certificate in Law examination for the University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong and for ten years, he was the Convener for the civil procedure paper of the Law Society's Foreign Lawyers Admission Examination Panel.
Martin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrator (East Asia Branch).
