PHILIPPA SONIA HEWITT
Philippa was educated at St Andrews University, Scotland obtaining an MA Degree. She then attended the Guildford College of Law and completed the Common Professional Examination and Final Examination.
Philippa was articled to an international law firm in London and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in March 1990 and practiced Family Law. In 1991, she was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and worked in the Construction and Commercial Litigation departments of an international law firm before joining the family practice of Hampton Winter and Glynn in 1993.
In 1996, she co-authored and edited the Hong Kong Legal Practice Manual on Family Law for Sweet & Maxwell (Asia).
From 1998 to 2002, she set up and coordinated the Knowledge Management Department of another international law firm in Hong Kong .
She returned to Hampton Winter and Glynn in 2004 and has since been specializing in Family Law.
Philippa's voluntary work has included assisting the Federation of Women's Centers in matters of Family Law and a stint on the Family Mediation Committee. She has been a member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association from 1993 to 1995, and from 2004 to date. She has obtained a Certificate from Bond University upon completion of a mediation course.
She is also Associate Editor and regular contributor to the Hong Kong Family Law Reports.
