SHARON ANDREA SER

Sharon obtained an LLB at the London School of Economics, London in 1979. She was admitted to practice in England in 1983 and worked as a solicitor, then Partner, specialising in Family Law with a legal firm in Twickenham, West London, England from 1980 to 1987.

While practicing in England, Sharon was a member of the Citizens Advice Bureau Legal Panel and of the Law Society Child Care Panel.

In 1987, Sharon was admitted to practice in Hong Kong and joined Hampton, Winter and Glynn as a Partner specialising in Family Law.

Sharon authored the Divorce Section, "Protecting Assets on Divorce" of the Far Eastern edition of "Credit Suisse Guide to Managing your wealth." She is a frequent lecturer for Law Society on Family Law and a Fellow of International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Sharon was the Chairman of Hong Kong Family Law Association from 1992 to 1998 and presently the Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Family Law Executive Committee. She was also a member of the Hong Kong Law Society Family Law Committee and the Hong Kong Judicial Sterling Committee for Reform of Ancillary Relief (i.e. financial provision upon divorce).

Since May 2004, Sharon has served as the President of the United Jewish Congregation of Hong Kong.

Sharon is also an appointed Civil Celebrant of Marriages.
