
Elaine Sum is an experienced civil litigation and matrimonial lawyer who joined Hampton, Winter and Glynn in 2003.
Elaine worked in the commercial and banking sector for eight years before re-training as a lawyer. This experience informs her work on commercial disputes for multi-national financial services companies and local and overseas corporate clients.
Elaine’s work in the field of family and matrimonial law includes contentious financial claims and matters relating to the custody and maintenance of children born, both in and out of wedlock.
Elaine, who is a member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association, was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2005. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. She also speaks Indonesian and the dialects of Hakka and Shanghainese.
