Phase 2 of the New Inspection Regime of the Companies Registry to replace the usual residential addresses (“URA”) and full identity card or passport number (“IDN”) of individual directors and individual secretary on the register at the Companies Registry with correspondence address and partial IDN for public inspection has commenced on 24th October 2022.

Each director and the company secretary who is an individual now needs to have an URA and a correspondence address.  Documents filed with the Companies Registry after the commencement of phase 2 will only show the correspondence address and the partial IDN of an individual director and the individual secretary. However, the URA and full IDN of directors and company secretary who are individual will continue to be available on documents filed before the commencement date until the final phase coming into effect on 27th December 2023 when an individual director can apply to the Companies Registry for protection from public inspection their URAs and full IDNs contained in documents previously registered with the Companies Registry and replace such information with correspondence addresses and partial IDNs.

Please note that even after Phase 3, the URA and IDN of your directors will still be available to certain classes of persons upon their application to the Companies Registry subject to certain conditions.
